Improving Mine Safety with Clearpath’s Intelligent Robots

Underground mines are hazardous working environments that cause many challenges: they are risky for workers, they require operators to be well trained, and as well target areas needing to be scanned can be difficult to reach. The European Institute of Technology (EIT)‘s Research Project named UNDROMEDA – Underground Robotic System for Monitoring, Evaluation and Detection Applications, is using the HUSKY UGV by Clearpath Robotics (an NCRN Partner) to reduce risk, time, and cost, while providing enhanced information from HUSKY’s advanced sensors.
